The Simpsons & Communism
I do not know where I should place this thread but . . .
In one episode, Lisa Simpson is talking to her dancing teacher, she claims that she has learned to dance now, although she has already tried before and failed miserably.. Lisa: But I can dance now, I swear! Teacher: Now children, what do you call is when you give someone a fair chance and they don't deserve it... Kids: Communism!! Teacher: That's right children... Or the episode when Homer is in the navy. They accuse him of being a communist. They asked his father "Is your son a communist?" and he said "No,my son may be a thief, a pig, an idiot, a communist, but he is not a porn star!" Homer: Maybe Lisa is right about America being the land of freedom.. And maybe Adil is right about capitalism being oiled with the blood of workers! Yeah. . . I got more.

First of all, I think this thread belongs in the "weird-wire" forum. Second, what your point
 . I'm all for the Simpsons as well as movies, in fact, was going to start a thread about the Simpsons. But really, what's your point between Simpsons and Communism . I mean I do remember those episodes, pretty goods ones  .

heh, if he is stating this as a bad thing......I don't want to even start with the show "southpark" and religion. Now THATS not right. I am just so happy southpark didn't mention the September 11 terrorist attacks....or else the producers would feel my wrath

Yeah, I guess there is no point really, just how Matt Groening was hinting about communist views.
Usually, when you read what he wrote, he always talks about teachers yelling at him for his communist views, and "hippy-trippy peace demonstrations" he attended; so I definately believe he is/was a commmunist and just throws in the hints because if he said it to boldly people would not like The Simpsons.

i have seen al the simpson eposiods on tv and the Hallowen ones and i thought they were really funny to watch

I know more about Simpsons then I do movies, and that tells a lot
. It's just that it's hard to find someone who knows just as much.

Which Christmas episode, there was a couple of those. There are numerous episdodes that I like, the X-Files spin-off, Homer works for Hank Scorpio, Homer changes name to Max Power, Helps Mel Gibson with his movie, etc.

I love the Simpsons, and it is definitely one of my favorite TV shows of all time. My favorite moment is in the Xfiles Spinoff that was mentioned above.
Scully: Homer, this is a simple lie detector test. Ill just ask you a few questions and you can respond truthfully. Do you understand? Homer: Yes At this point, the Lie detector explodes because of Homer's Stupidity and lie.
