Big News! Evangelion Live Action Movie!

I'm very serious as well! My teacher at the art studio I goto gave me a gander at the first screenshots of The Evangelion Live Action Movie I didnt quite beleive him at first but it was right there in a magazine he brought in, its not going to be all CG either, Real actors, the Evas are going to be CG naturally but wont that look awsome??

They have started 2D mock ups in a New Zealand production studio (Same team as the people who were behind The Lord Of The Rings special effects!) I cant remember what the place is called though, but this is awsome news for Evangelion fans anyday right??

I cant wait to see it ^___^!!

It'll be interesting to see who does the actor for Rei, my fave character...By the way the rights have already been given to ADV Films aswell its all go go go now

yeah I already heard about this... and I'm a bit disappointed though curious...

I think that anime is sacred (at least to me ) and I think that making a RL action movie is gonna be such a disappointment that, that... well that it would suck bananas...

if it comes out I will obviously watch it, but I think that the emotions and extravaganza shown in anime is not convertable into real film...

anime is holy, stay away from it XD

I understand what you mean, but part of me is excitied becuase Evangelions getting back on the scene you know? And who knows? Maybe it will be great! We can only specualte becuase their isnt that much know I've seen the Eva CG shots however, marvelous.

but why evangelion, it's one of the most difficult stories which is impossible to understand for 100%... like FLCL...

the story and the characters are the most important of the series, if they do that right, (which is impossible) than I will maybe give my regards...

Umm I dunno... doesn't seem to interesting to me, there are alot of new Live Action films.... I think it's some fad in Japan lol...

I think they chose the wrong anime to do a live action film of...

It's probablygoing to be really hard, considering everything that happened in the series. And being live action it might target an audience that hasn't watched the anime yet, meaning they might try to cram the psychological messed upness into this one movie, which can spoil it. I hope they do a good job though.

They could maybe do it in a trilogy? The ideas out there I guess, but hey guys me being Australian I dont get a hold of this info as quick as the rest of the world becuase Anime-wise, we are left out of the loop I think...

I saw something on it about ANN, so that's as far as I knew about it heh.... I also so something in Newtype... or something like that.

I think they might blow this one... there's too much into the anime, that plot is too weird lol

I just don't see what they would make the movie about. The series is to long and in depth to make a movie about which is why their isn't even a animated one out besides end of eva and death and rebirth but those are just the series end. I don't know though it could be interesting if done properly.
